2025 Community Connections Summit
The Community Connections Summit is a biennial gathering that brings together service providers, advocates, and sector leaders to build community, explore best practices, and strengthen our collective response to the intersecting crises of domestic violence and homelessness. Together, we’ll discuss survivor-centered solutions, housing advocacy strategies, and ways to bridge our efforts for a more just and equitable future.
2023 Community Connections Summit
The 2023 Community Connections Summit was held at the California Endowment and attended by survivors, community advocates, direct service and sector leaders within homeless services and victim service providers, government department leaders, elected officials, philanthropic leaders, academic researchers, legal experts, and more. With the theme Then, Now, and When: Celebrating our Roots and Growing our Future, the event focused on our community's struggles and triumphs in facing the intersection of domestic violence and homelessness, and how we are working towards creating a safer, more equitable future.
2019 Community Connections Summit
Held at the Double Tree Hotel in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles, the 2019 summit was full of innovative and timely content about the intersection of domestic violence and homelessness. Highlights included a “Lived Experience” panel featuring survivors of domestic violence and homelessness, and a number of talks addressing racial and gender equity, the Coordinated Entry System (CES), creating a trauma-informed community, creating systems change, best practices, and the intersectionality of homelessness with gender, race, and domestic violence.
